Best paid freelance lead services in 2026: choose by the kind of leads you actually need.

Paying for freelance leads only makes sense when the service removes a real bottleneck. The five tools below do not solve the same problem. Some search broadly across freelance sources, some focus on direct company contracts or social buying-intent, and some sit specifically on top of Upwork. We compared the current product model, price, workflow and limitations before deciding where each one fits.

Short answer: SolidGigs is the strongest fit for broad multi-source freelance lead discovery. RemoteLeads is the lower-cost pick for direct company freelance and contract listings. IntentPond is the most specialized option for social-media buying-intent. Vollna's manual tier fits freelancers who want a better Upwork search-and-proposal workflow without automatic submission. GigRadar is a specialist high-automation agency option, not a default recommendation, because third-party marketplace automation adds a separate account-policy risk decision.

Trust boundary: This is a manually researched editorial comparison. It is not an A✓/CHECKED automated verification record, and no service is ranked by affiliate payout, vendor ROI projections or testimonials.

1. SolidGigs — best for broad multi-source freelance lead discovery

SolidGigs is the closest match to the phrase “paid freelance lead service.” It is not a marketplace. You define the kinds of work you want, SolidGigs searches across job boards, marketplaces, RFPs, social media and other sources, and matching opportunities are sent to your dashboard and email. When you want to pitch, you go to the original source.

The current plans are $35 per month or $350 per year, with a 14-day free trial. SolidGigs says it does not take a percentage of the client payment.

Choose SolidGigs when: you already know what service you sell, can pitch clients independently, and want one paid filter across several lead sources instead of manually checking them yourself.

Skip it when: you need marketplace contracts, payment protection, guaranteed work, or a free acquisition channel.

2. RemoteLeads — best lower-cost option for direct company contracts

RemoteLeads is currently cheaper than SolidGigs for an individual freelancer: $29 monthly or $290 annually. It describes its inventory as hand-picked freelance and contract opportunities from company career pages and hiring channels, with direct applications to the company.

That makes it especially useful for freelancers who want contract-style opportunities without paying marketplace transaction fees. It also advertises a free weekly email with five fresh remote leads.

Choose RemoteLeads when: you want a curated remote freelance/contract feed with direct company applications and a lower recurring price than SolidGigs.

Skip it when: your real target is direct prospecting toward business owners who have not posted a formal role. Its model is closer to curated contract/job discovery than outbound client-intent prospecting.

Evidence caution: claims about better odds, exclusivity or a subscription “paying for itself” come from the provider and are not treated here as independently verified outcome data.

3. IntentPond — best for social-media buying-intent leads

IntentPond targets a different moment: a person publicly describing work they need on social media. The service says it filters out agencies selling services, recruiter benches, job-board relays and other noise, then sends the freelancer the post, available contact details and a link.

The paid plan is currently $39 per month. A free account can see the feed, the first five leads have fresh contact access, and leads older than three days open fully.

Choose IntentPond when: you sell a clear service such as writing, design, video, development, translation, social media or 3D work and want to reach people who have already expressed a need.

Skip it when: you expect a predictable number of opportunities every week. IntentPond itself says volume varies by trade, language and week and that some periods can be quiet.

Important workflow difference: IntentPond says it does not send messages or posts on your behalf. You make the outreach decision yourself.

4. Vollna — best for an Upwork-focused manual workflow

Vollna belongs in this comparison only if Upwork is already your chosen acquisition channel. Its manual Freelancer plan is currently $24 per month or $16 per month on annual billing and includes job filters, instant alerts, AI job qualification, proposal drafting and analytics. The manual workflow leaves the final proposal review and submission with the freelancer.

That is materially different from buying a broad lead feed. Vollna helps you work an existing marketplace more efficiently rather than replacing the marketplace.

Choose the manual Vollna workflow when: you already use Upwork and the pain is filtering jobs, reacting quickly and preparing stronger proposals without automatically sending them.

Important separation: Vollna also sells auto-bidding plans that automatically submit proposals through connected Business Manager access. That is a different risk category from alerts, qualification and drafting, so we do not treat the manual and automated products as interchangeable.

5. GigRadar — high-automation Upwork agency option, not a default recommendation

GigRadar's current Start plan is $129 per month or $99 per month billed annually, and its pricing page says an Upwork Agency Plus subscription is also required. The service combines job qualification, proposal generation, alerts and Business Manager-based proposal submission.

GigRadar also explicitly says it is not an Upwork partner and does not promise that account risk is zero. That disclosure matters.

Who it can fit: an agency that already understands Upwork, intentionally wants a high-automation proposal workflow, can absorb the higher cost, and is willing to evaluate the marketplace-policy dependency before connecting anything.

Why it is not our default freelancer recommendation: Upwork says third-party services that automatically send requests, collect data or perform actions faster or more frequently than a human count as automation. Upwork also says unapproved automation can lead to warnings, restrictions or permanent blocks and that an API key only authorizes its approved scope.

We are not claiming GigRadar or Vollna auto-bidding is automatically prohibited. We are saying the available evidence does not justify calling any third-party auto-submission workflow risk-free or officially endorsed by Upwork. A freelancer or agency should confirm the exact current permissions and account model before enabling automated marketplace actions.

What we did not use to choose these picks

Which paid freelance lead service should you choose?

If you want one answer, identify the bottleneck first. Use SolidGigs for broad multi-source lead discovery. Use RemoteLeads for lower-cost direct company freelance/contract listings. Use IntentPond for social buying-intent. Use Vollna's manual tier if Upwork itself is your channel and you want better filtering, drafting and analytics. Treat high-automation Upwork agency tools such as GigRadar as a separate platform-risk decision rather than a normal lead subscription.

If broad freelance lead discovery is your actual bottleneck, we already completed a separate deep-dive into SolidGigs' pricing, trial, billing terms, limitations and alternatives.
