Semrush refund decision

Can I get a Semrush refund?

Maybe—but Semrush's current standard 7-day money-back guarantee is conditional, not universal. The first question is what you bought, how you bought it and whether the purchase fits the current standard online policy.

AlreadyChecked Verdict

Classify the purchase before relying on Semrush's standard 7-day money-back guarantee.

Current standard online policy can cover some eligible initial direct purchases and eligible initial add-ons when all stated conditions are met and the written request is timely. Month-to-month subscriptions, renewal charges and standalone-product trial conversions are outside that standard guarantee, while signed agreements or negotiated Orders follow their own terms.

Best for you if… you identify the purchase type, direct-versus-agreement path and request deadline first, then explicitly request a refund rather than assuming cancellation itself creates one.

AlreadyChecked verdict

Classify the purchase before relying on the seven-day guarantee. Eligible initial direct credit-card purchases with a committed term of 12 months or longer and eligible initial add-ons may qualify if the current policy conditions are met and a written refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days. Month-to-month subscriptions, renewals and standalone-product trial conversions are outside that standard guarantee.

Which purchases may qualify?

Semrush's current standard online policy applies to qualifying purchases made directly on Semrush.com by credit card.

A qualifying written refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the eligible initial purchase.

Which purchases are outside the standard guarantee?

A Toolkit is not automatically an add-on

Current Semrush cancellation guidance treats Toolkits as standalone subscriptions for refund-policy purposes. It gives examples of add-ons such as additional users, keyword limits, PDF reports, API units and apps.

That distinction matters: buying an additional Toolkit does not automatically make the purchase an eligible add-on under the standard refund policy.

Cancellation is not the refund request

Current Semrush guidance says canceling your subscription does not automatically request a refund. Cancellation during an existing subscription term also does not by itself create entitlement to repayment of prepaid or committed fees.

If you want both cancellation and a refund and believe the purchase is eligible, Semrush's current process says the refund must be requested explicitly. When using the cancellation form, the refund request should be stated in the additional-comments field; a separate Contact Form path is also available.

Seven days is the request deadline—not the refund processing time

The current policy says a qualifying written refund request must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the eligible purchase. Separately, if a refund request is approved, Semrush says it will process the refund within 30 calendar days after receiving the written request and any reasonably requested information.

So do not interpret “7-day money-back guarantee” as a promise that money will arrive within seven days.

What information may Semrush request?

For account and payment verification, Semrush says it may request limited identifiers such as transaction details, billing date or the last four digits of the card used. Its current support guidance explicitly says not to send a full credit-card number.

Credential safety: Never send passwords, login links, one-time codes, recovery codes, full card numbers, CVV or bank credentials to AlreadyChecked.
