| Choice | Best for | Current cost | Biggest advantage | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Broad curation SolidGigs | Freelancers who want broader external opportunities and already manage pitching, contracts and payments independently. | $35/month or $350/year after a 14-day free trial. | Broader multi-source acquisition without moving the client relationship into one marketplace. | The downstream client contract, invoicing, payment and compliance workflow remains external. |
| Managed marketplace/FMS YunoJuno | Contractors who want discovery plus platform contracts, timesheets, invoicing and managed payment workflow. | Currently free to use as a contractor; current guidance says YunoJuno does not take a cut of contractor earnings. Client/platform fees are separate. | Marketplace/FMS workflow connects discovery, contracts, timesheets, invoicing and payments. | Public-profile approval and matching are conditional, a match is not a contract, the 14-day payment rule starts only after stated approval/invoice conditions, direct-invite terms can differ, and local compliance rules still apply. |

No universal winner. YunoJuno is currently free to use as a contractor and says it does not take a cut of contractor earnings, but client/platform fees and engagement rules are separate.

YunoJuno separates contractor economics from employer/platform fees. Current contractor help says freelancers keep their rate while YunoJuno invoices the employer the contractor rate plus its contract/platform fee. We therefore do not describe YunoJuno as universally fee-free for every party.
YunoJuno says it reviews every public contractor profile individually and approval can take up to 7 days. That is not a guaranteed approval SLA. Current help also says a contractor directly invited by a particular client does not necessarily need public-profile approval for that direct-contract path.
Current job-post visibility is based on factors including discipline/category, location and day rate, and approved contractors can use a live matching job-post feed. Matching can change over time, so joining does not guarantee access to every brief or any minimum number of opportunities.
If selected from an application or shortlist, current contractor guidance says the client should raise a YunoJuno contract and the contractor should not start work until the contract is agreed and signed if they expect YunoJuno terms-of-engagement protection. A message, shortlist or match alone is not the same thing.
Current July 2026 payment guidance says marketplace/FMS contractors are paid within 14 days of client timesheet approval and invoice receipt. That is not instant payment, and it is not universal: directly invited contractors can have different client payment terms.
YunoJuno supports international contractor engagements, but business structure, right-to-work/ID checks, classification, tax treatment and client requirements vary by jurisdiction. UK-specific IR35 or umbrella guidance should not be generalized to every international contractor.
Current contractor guidance allows a freelancer to propose a pre-start cancellation fee, but it is not an automatic right. The client must agree to it and reasonableness depends on the contract circumstances.
You want paid broad opportunity curation and already manage pitching, contracts and payments yourself.
You want marketplace discovery plus a platform contract, timesheet, invoice and managed-payment workflow, and you accept profile/compliance rules.
Yes. YunoJuno can act as a marketplace/FMS channel while SolidGigs searches broader external sources. Keep both only if the channels create meaningfully different opportunities or the paid curation saves enough prospecting time to justify its cost.
AlreadyChecked verdict: No universal winner. SolidGigs fits paid broad external lead curation; YunoJuno fits contractors who value a fee-free-to-contractor marketplace/FMS workflow and understand the profile, contract, payment and compliance conditions.
