SolidGigs
Current price: 14-day free trial, then $35/month or $350/year on the checked first-party pricing surface.
Model: paid freelance-lead discovery and curation across multiple sources; the freelancer follows the original source to pitch.
Start with SolidGigs when your goal is specifically freelance clients/projects and you want paid cross-source lead curation. Choose Remote OK Premium when early/exclusive remote-job access, advanced filters, alerts and profile benefits justify a 12-month commitment. Remote OK's current FAQ and Terms conflict on whether cancellation stops future monthly installments, so verify the binding contract before subscribing. Neither is a universal winner.
AlreadyChecked Verdict
SolidGigs fits freelancers paying to reduce cross-source client/project prospecting. Remote OK Premium fits remote-job seekers who value early/exclusive listings, filters, alerts and profile features enough to accept a documented 12-month commitment—but the current cancellation wording conflict should be resolved before purchase.
| Choice | Best for | Current cost | Biggest advantage | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Freelance clients SolidGigs | Freelancers specifically pursuing clients/projects who want less cross-source searching. | $35/month or $350/year after a 14-day free trial. | Focused paid curation for independent freelance lead discovery. | It does not provide one universal remote-employer or marketplace transaction layer for external opportunities. |
| Premium remote access Remote OK Premium | Remote-job seekers who value early/exclusive listings, advanced filters, alerts, profile features and application tracking. | $14.95/month with a documented 12-month commitment billed monthly. | Adds earlier job access and enhanced search/profile tools on one remote-job platform. | FAQ and Terms conflict on future charges after cancellation; do not assume month-to-month flexibility or a candidate refund right. |
| Separate bundle Remote OK TopAccess | Users who specifically value the separate partner-marketplace/job-board bundle and conditional reward structure. | $29.95/month on a 12-month commitment; no free trial. | Extends beyond single-platform Premium into partner-access features. | Partner acceptance, jobs, earnings and rewards are not guaranteed; TopAccess benefits must not be attributed to the $14.95 Premium plan. |

SolidGigs currently advertises a 14-day free trial, $35 month-to-month access and $350 annual billing displayed as roughly a $29/month equivalent. It says it is not a freelance marketplace: users set search rules, SolidGigs searches multiple sources, and matching opportunities lead back to the original source so the freelancer can pitch directly.
SolidGigs' terms say you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid the selected-plan charge and that refunds or prorated adjustments are not guaranteed for late cancellation or at another point. Cancel-anytime language and refund rights are separate.
Remote OK's current Premium page lists $14.95/month and directly states 12-month commitment · billed monthly. The plan currently includes early access to jobs before they become public, filters by salary/time zone/tech stack, instant alerts, a verified profile badge, application tracking, ad-free browsing and salary data.
The displayed monthly payment should not be read as month-to-month contractual flexibility. Remote OK's current Terms define the subscription as an annual fee that may be paid monthly across a twelve-month Annual Term.
This is the most important limitation we found. Remote OK's current FAQ says a Premium user who cancels keeps access until the end of the current billing period, gets no partial refund, and has no further charges. Its current Terms say monthly installments remain due through the end of the Annual Term even if the user cancels or the account becomes unavailable, subject to the Terms' stated exception if Remote OK ends the services.
We do not resolve that conflict in Remote OK's favor. Before subscribing—or before relying on cancellation to stop future installments—verify the checkout terms and obtain clarification from Remote OK if the contract presented to you is not clear.
Remote OK's current Terms characterize paid subscription fees as non-refundable except where required by law and say immediate digital-service delivery waives refund rights, including a stated EU waiver of the standard 14-day withdrawal period. The FAQ separately offers a 14-day refund process for an employer's auto-renewed job post. That employer policy is not evidence of a 14-day job-seeker Premium refund right.
Remote OK currently exposes public job-search pages and region/country filters. Premium sells earlier access to jobs before they are public plus additional search, alert and profile features. That supports a public-versus-Premium feature split: it does not mean every job requires Premium, and it does not mean every Premium benefit is free.
Remote OK's current TopAccess tier is $29.95/month with a 12-month commitment billed monthly and no free trial. It bundles Remote OK with opportunities to access or apply to partner marketplaces/job boards and includes conditional freelancer rewards.
Remote OK says partner acceptance, jobs and earnings are not guaranteed, and rewards depend on eligibility and proof. Do not attribute those TopAccess benefits to the $14.95 single-platform Premium plan.
Remote OK's FAQ says employers can route candidates to an external ATS/careers URL or an application email. Its job interface distinguishes regions and countries, including Worldwide and United States. Remote therefore does not automatically mean work-from-anywhere, and Remote OK is not established as the employer, recruiter or universal contracting/payment intermediary for every listing.
Remote OK also provides a reporting path for scam, fake or not-actually-remote listings. That is a safety control, not a guarantee that every listing or employer interaction is risk-free.
Commercial boundary: this comparison contains no direct Remote OK merchant destination. No checked evidence establishes page-level Remote OK referral-link, attribution or payout custody for AlreadyChecked. AlreadyChecked verdict: No universal winner. SolidGigs fits freelancers paying to reduce cross-source lead hunting. Remote OK Premium fits remote-job seekers who value Premium search advantages enough to accept a 12-month commitment—but the current cancellation wording conflict should be resolved before purchase.
