No universal winner. Kwork’s seller fee is not one flat percentage, so $35 versus “20%” is not a defensible universal break-even comparison.

At a glance

SolidGigs

Cost: 14-day free trial, then $35/month or $350/year.

Model: curated external opportunities; downstream client transaction remains outside SolidGigs.

Kwork

Listing: free to create kworks; current minimum kwork price is $10.

Model: packaged services, custom offers and Orders inside a marketplace.

Seller fee: 20%, 12% or 7.5% depending on cumulative revenue with that buyer.

Free listings do not mean fee-free selling

Current Kwork Terms say it is free to create kworks. A new seller can create up to 20 kworks, increasing to 300 after the first successful order, and each listing is manually approved before marketplace posting. That approval does not guarantee traffic, orders, buyer quality or earnings.

Kwork’s seller fee falls with repeat-buyer revenue

Current service-fee tiers are 20% when cumulative revenue with that buyer is under $500, 12% from $500 to $5,000, and 7.5% above $5,000. The fee is calculated for Orders under the current table, so Kwork should not be described as universally “20%” or universally “7.5%.”

Buyers pay Orders in advance—but that is not universal seller guaranteed payment

Kwork requires buyers to pay Orders in advance through payment/service Partners. Current Terms also allow order cancellation, refunds, quality review, fraud/rule enforcement and arbitration in specified circumstances. Buyer prepayment therefore should not be translated into a claim that every delivery is guaranteed to produce seller earnings.

Money Back Guarantee is buyer protection

Kwork’s Money Back Guarantee and Buyer Protection describe buyer refund rights in specified cases such as seller non-start, missed deadlines, mutual cancellation or Support finding work poor/incomplete. That is not a universal seller-payment guarantee.

Arbitration has a target, not a universal SLA

After unsuccessful negotiation/support resolution, either side may apply for arbitration. Current Terms describe a 3-business-day decision target, but explicitly allow extension for exceptionally difficult cases. Arbitration is not a guaranteed seller win or guaranteed payment.

Current payouts are Partner/interface dependent

Current Terms say seller payouts for completed Orders are processed through Partner services. Available methods, payout fees and processing times are determined by the relevant Partner and shown in the applicable interface. Kwork can also temporarily restrict payout/refund operations for fraud, abuse or security reasons.

An older Learning Kwork guide described a fixed withdrawal schedule and a 3% payment-system fee. We do not use that as current universal guidance because the current Terms now make payout method, fees and timing Partner/interface dependent.

Payment settlement is not described here as escrow

Current Terms say the buyer’s payment obligation to the seller is treated as fulfilled once the relevant Partner receives payment for the Order; the Partner then processes the seller transfer under Service/Partner rules. We do not relabel that contract structure as “escrow” without current first-party language doing so.

Kwork is not an unrestricted off-platform client channel

Current Terms require ordering, payment, negotiation and approval to occur within Kwork Services and prohibit off-platform payment. Order IP generally transfers to the buyer after successful completion and payment unless otherwise agreed.

Which fits you?

I want broad external leads

SolidGigs fits better when you want opportunity discovery without moving your transaction workflow into a marketplace.

I want buyers to purchase packaged services

Kwork fits better when marketplace storefronts, Orders, support and arbitration are valuable enough to justify seller fees and on-platform rules.

I expect repeat buyers

Kwork’s fee economics can improve as cumulative revenue with the same buyer crosses the current thresholds; evaluate actual repeat-buyer volume rather than one headline percentage.

I need a fixed payout method and SLA

Do not assume one from Kwork’s public Terms: current payout methods, fees and timing depend on the relevant Partner/interface.
