| Choice | Best for | Current cost | Biggest advantage | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Freelance clients SolidGigs | Freelancers whose bottleneck is repeated cross-source client/project lead hunting. | $35/month or $350/year after a 14-day free trial. | Focused paid curation for independent freelance prospecting. | It does not guarantee clients, projects or one universal downstream contract/payment system. |
| Free curated remote jobs Jobspresso | Remote-employment seekers who want curated public listings without a candidate subscription. | Free for job seekers on the checked current FAQ/public board. | Curated remote-employment discovery without requiring candidate payment. | Remote roles still carry employer/location requirements; curation is not fraud immunity and applications can continue on third-party employer systems. |
| Optional recruiter discovery Jobspresso resume posting | Candidates who want a resume to be discoverable to Jobspresso recruiters and verified employers actively hiring on the platform. | Free resume posting on the checked current surface. | Creates an additional inbound employer/recruiter discovery path. | The resume is non-public, not invisible: approved recruiters/employers may discover it. Employer posting fees and employer guarantees do not become candidate rights. |

SolidGigs currently advertises a 14-day free trial, $35 monthly access and $350 annual billing displayed as roughly a $29/month equivalent. It says it is not a freelance marketplace: users set search rules, SolidGigs searches multiple sources, and matching opportunities lead back to the original source so the freelancer can pitch directly.
SolidGigs' current Terms require cancellation before the trial ends to avoid the selected-plan charge and do not guarantee refunds or prorated adjustments for late cancellation or at another point. Cancel-anytime language and refund rights are separate.
Jobspresso's current FAQ says the service is absolutely free for job seekers. Its public remote-job surface can be browsed without a candidate subscription paywall. That is a materially different purchase model from SolidGigs: Jobspresso monetizes employer job postings while candidates browse and apply without buying access from Jobspresso.
Jobspresso currently lists employer posting packages at $349 for one 90-day Basic listing, $399 for one 90-day Featured listing, and $1,019 for three Professional listings. These are employer acquisition and recruiting costs. They are not candidate subscription fees.
Jobspresso's employer marketing separately advertises a 30-day satisfaction/remediation guarantee for paid job postings. That employer-side commercial promise does not create a candidate refund right, guarantee that every listing is legitimate, or promise interviews, offers or employment.
Jobspresso markets remote careers broadly, but its FAQ says some employers may require a certain timezone or minimal onsite time. Current listings also show country and regional requirements, including United States, United States/Canada, EMEA and various-country restrictions. A remote label therefore does not remove legal, tax, work-authorization, timezone or employer-location constraints.
The current board exposes remote roles across AI/data, development, product, design/UX, customer support, marketing, sales, writing/editing and other categories. Jobspresso should not be reduced to a technology-only or freelance-only service.
The site currently presents 1,000+ remote openings. That is a dynamic provider inventory headline, not a normalized comparison count independently audited against SolidGigs' lead flow, so it is not universal-winner evidence.
Jobspresso says posting a resume is free and that uploaded resumes are not publicly visible. It also says Jobspresso recruiters and verified employers actively hiring on the platform can discover posted resumes. Non-public therefore does not mean invisible to all employers; posting a resume intentionally opens a limited recruiter/employer discovery path.
Jobspresso's Terms say it has not reviewed all linked sites, is not responsible for their contents, and that using linked sites is at the user's own risk. Its privacy policy also says third-party linked sites can have their own privacy and service policies.
Jobspresso should therefore be treated as a discovery and curation layer rather than the controller of every employer application destination, privacy practice or downstream recruiting interaction.
Jobspresso says listings are curated and that employer websites, social accounts and general reputation are checked when evaluating legitimacy. Those are meaningful provider-controlled screening signals, but they are not an independent AlreadyChecked guarantee that every listing, recruiter or later interaction is scam-free, accurate or safe.
Jobspresso also warns about impersonators using SMS, WhatsApp or other messaging apps, asking for deposits or handling fees, or requesting sensitive personal or financial information. It says job seekers are never charged for opportunities/services and official communication comes from verified @jobspresso.co email addresses. Those are practical warning signals, not proof that every interaction lacking them is legitimate.
Commercial boundary: this comparison contains no direct Jobspresso merchant destination. No checked evidence establishes page-level Jobspresso referral-link, attribution or payout custody for AlreadyChecked. SolidGigs-qualified readers can continue to our governed SolidGigs research page; affiliate economics are excluded from the ranking.
AlreadyChecked verdict: No universal winner. SolidGigs fits freelancers paying to reduce cross-source client-lead hunting. Jobspresso fits remote-job seekers who want free curated browsing and may optionally post a resume for limited employer/recruiter discovery.
