No universal winner. Hubstaff Talent is currently free and says it takes no commission, but it solves a different problem from paid lead curation and has profile moderation plus application limits.
Trust boundary: This is a manually researched editorial comparison. It is not an A✓/CHECKED automated verification record and carries no A✓/CHECKED approval badge. This support page contains no direct merchant affiliate destination.
Cost: 14-day free trial, then $35/month or $350/year.
Model: broader multi-source external lead curation.
Current cost: 100% free of charge according to current Talent support, with no commission fees or percentage taken from freelancer payments.
Model: freelancer/agency profiles, company discovery, job search and applications, with direct contact.
Current Hubstaff Talent pages repeatedly describe the service as free and no-commission. The general Hubstaff Terms, however, reserve the right to charge for use of the Service with prior notice. We therefore say currently free, not permanently free.
Current support says freelancer and agency profiles are submitted to moderation and review usually takes 1-2 business days. That is a provider process estimate, not a guarantee that every profile will be approved.
Current job-search support says freelancers and agencies can submit 3 applications per hour and 30 applications in the past 30 days. A profile set to Only Me cannot submit job applications.
Hubstaff Talent says no money goes through Hubstaff Talent: freelancer and client decide how and when to pay. If the parties separately choose Hubstaff time tracking/payment tools, those are separate product choices. Talent participation is not conditioned on buying or using other Hubstaff products.
Hubstaff’s general Terms say Hubstaff is not responsible for examining or evaluating third-party website/content accuracy, completeness, validity, legality or quality. Profile moderation therefore should not be read as a guarantee that every employer, job or client is safe, legitimate, qualified or payment-ready. Normal due diligence still matters.
Current Terms require users to be at least eighteen (18), able to enter contracts, complete registration and satisfy sanctions/export eligibility restrictions. Account creation alone does not guarantee profile approval or job-application eligibility.
You want broader paid opportunity curation and already manage your own pitching, contracts and payments.
You want a currently free profile/job source, direct company contact and direct payment arrangements, and you accept moderation and application limits.
Yes. Hubstaff Talent can remain a free acquisition channel while SolidGigs is tested as paid curation. Keep the subscription only if it adds enough useful non-overlapping opportunities or saved prospecting time to justify the cost.
AlreadyChecked verdict: No universal winner. SolidGigs fits paid broader lead curation; Hubstaff Talent fits a currently free no-commission directory/job source where freelancers and clients arrange work and payment directly.
