FlexJobs charged me after cancellation. What should I check?
Start with two facts: where the subscription was billed and what cancellation confirmation you have. A charge appearing after you believe you cancelled does not by itself prove either a valid renewal or an improper charge.
Trust boundary: This is manually researched billing/cancellation guidance, not individualized legal, banking, fraud or chargeback advice, not an A✓/CHECKED verification record and not an A✓/CHECKED approval badge. AlreadyChecked has no proven FlexJobs production affiliate destination, so this page contains no direct merchant affiliate link.
AlreadyChecked Verdict
Identify the billing source and cancellation evidence before deciding what the charge means.
For a direct FlexJobs subscription, find the cancellation email/number and compare its timing with the renewal or charge. For Google Play or App Store subscriptions, start in that original billing source. Keep cancellation proof, refund eligibility and any bank/chargeback/fraud dispute as separate questions.
| Situation | First evidence to check | Next path | What it helps decide | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct billing FlexJobs charged the subscription | Official cancellation email and cancellation number, plus timing versus the relevant renewal/charge. | Use official FlexJobs customer service if confirmation is missing or the timing remains unresolved. | Whether the documented direct-cancellation path completed before the relevant renewal. | A bank posting date is not automatically the subscription-event timestamp, and cancellation proof does not itself establish refund eligibility. |
| Store billing Google Play / App Store charge | Subscription status, cancellation record and charge in the original app-store billing source. | Use the applicable Google Play/App Store subscription or refund process. | Whether the store-controlled subscription was cancelled and how that platform records the charge. | Do not assume FlexJobs directly controls every app-store billing or refund outcome. |
| Separate dispute Refund / bank / fraud question | Transaction evidence plus the current provider/store policy relevant to the specific request. | Use the correct support, payment processor, bank, store or legal path as appropriate. | Whether there is a distinct refund or payment dispute after the cancellation facts are established. | AlreadyChecked cannot determine from public policy pages alone whether a transaction is legally unauthorized, fraudulent, chargeback-eligible or refundable. |
Research receipt
Last checked September 9, 2026. This receipt reflects the billing/cancellation evidence used on this page; it is not an A✓/CHECKED automated-verification badge.
Best first move: identify whether you subscribed directly through FlexJobs or through Google Play/App Store. Then use the cancellation evidence from that same billing source.
If you subscribed directly through FlexJobs
Current FlexJobs Terms say subscriptions automatically renew according to the chosen subscription type unless they are cancelled before the next renewal date. The Terms also say FlexJobs sends an email with a cancellation number to confirm a direct cancellation request.
Find that cancellation-confirmation email and number. Compare the confirmation timing with the renewal or charge timing. Do not invent a processor timestamp or assume that a bank posting date is identical to the underlying subscription event.
If you did not receive the cancellation confirmation and still intended to cancel, current Terms tell you to contact customer service directly for further assistance.
If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store
Current FlexJobs FAQ says subscriptions originally purchased through the mobile app must be cancelled through Google Play or the App Store. That original billing source should be the first place you check for the subscription status, cancellation record, charge and any platform-specific refund process.
Do not assume FlexJobs itself controls every app-store billing or refund decision.
Does continued access mean the cancellation failed?
No—not by itself. FlexJobs’ current FAQ says app-originated subscribers may continue using subscription features until the end of the billing period after cancellation. Continued access through an already-paid period therefore does not prove the subscription renewed.
Could the current money-back guarantee matter?
Possibly, but keep it separate from the cancellation question. Current FlexJobs pricing and FAQ advertise a 14-day money-back or satisfaction window for qualifying account creation or renewal requests.
That does not mean every disputed post-cancellation charge automatically qualifies for a refund. Check the current published terms and contact the correct billing/support source promptly.
Three questions that should stay separate
- Cancellation proof: was the subscription actually cancelled through the correct billing source before the relevant renewal?
- Refund eligibility: does the current published refund/money-back policy apply to this transaction?
- Bank, chargeback, fraud or legal dispute: is there a separate payment dispute that requires the bank, payment processor, app store, or legal process?
AlreadyChecked can explain the first-party cancellation, billing-source and refund evidence. It cannot decide the third question from public policy pages alone.
What not to do
- Do not assume every post-cancellation charge is fraudulent or unauthorized.
- Do not treat deleting the app, closing a browser, losing account access, changing a card, or merely clicking a cancel control as universal cancellation proof.
- Do not ignore the original billing source when the subscription came through Google Play or the App Store.
- Do not falsely characterize a known subscription transaction as fraud merely because you dispute it.
Payment and credential safety
AlreadyChecked will never ask for your full card number, CVV, bank password, FlexJobs password, one-time code, recovery code, or other payment/authentication secret. Use official FlexJobs, bank, Google Play, or App Store channels as applicable.

Verdict: First identify the billing source. For a direct FlexJobs subscription, use the cancellation-confirmation email and number and compare its timing with the renewal/charge; if confirmation is missing or the issue remains unresolved, contact FlexJobs through official support. For Google Play/App Store subscriptions, use that original billing source. Keep cancellation proof, refund eligibility and any bank/legal dispute separate.
