Current models

Fewer than 2% accepted is a provider claim, not an AlreadyChecked badge

A.Team's current Join page says fewer than 2% of applicants are accepted and describes evaluation across technical depth, communication, portfolio, panel review and culture fit. We treat that percentage as provider-reported selectivity—not independent proof of quality, safety, placement odds, or A✓/CHECKED authority.

A.Team does not guarantee a match

Accepted builders can apply to missions, but A.Team's current platform Terms explicitly state that the platform does not guarantee any match. Client interview and selection authority still matter. Acceptance into the network therefore does not guarantee mission availability, an interview, client selection, project start, hours, duration or earnings.

No fee skim from your rate is not the same as the client invoice

A.Team says builders set their rate and that it does not skim fees from that builder rate. We report that current provider statement as written. We do not turn it into a claim that the builder receives 100% of every client-facing dollar, because client-facing all-in pricing and platform markup are separate commercial terms.

Payment is provider-stated twice monthly on Net-15

Current A.Team builder material says builders are paid twice monthly on a Net-15 cycle and uses guaranteed-on-time-payment language. We treat that as A.Team's own payment promise—not an unconditional AlreadyChecked guarantee across every service order, account, compliance, dispute, termination, fraud, banking or other scenario not established by public evidence.

The actual mission can be controlled by a separate service order

A.Team's current platform Terms say that when a Builder and Client proceed, the Builder and A-Teams enter a separate Builder Service Order specifying fees, anticipated project length and other material terms. Separate Builder Development Services Terms can govern the actual development engagement and prevail where they conflict with the general platform Terms.

That means public marketing language should not be used to erase mission-specific contractual terms.

12–18 months and 10–20 hours/week are typical patterns, not guarantees

A.Team's current Join page says most missions run 12–18 months and many builders work 10–20 hours/week or full time. It also discusses the possibility of multiple missions. We treat these as provider-reported typical patterns—not guaranteed mission duration, guaranteed minimum weekly hours, or guaranteed access to multiple simultaneous missions.

Relationship restrictions matter

Current A.Team Terms include a 24-month non-circumvention period for A.Team-originated Builder/Client relationships and require payments for those relationships to stay through the platform unless an authorized arrangement removes the restriction.

The Terms also describe a separate Network Fee mechanism that can remove the restriction for a relationship, including a formula based on the greater of $20,000 or three times anticipated monthly Builder compensation, plus 10% of certain signing bonuses. We do not describe that as an ordinary on-platform freelancer commission.
