SolidGigs vs Arc: broader external lead discovery or a vetted hosted talent platform?

Choose SolidGigs when your bottleneck is finding external freelance opportunities and you prefer to manage pitching, contracts and payment yourself. Choose Arc when you are willing to pass vetting and want client matching/interviews plus platform-administered freelance contracts and payments.

AlreadyChecked Verdict

No universal winner: choose broader independent lead discovery or a vetted hosted talent platform.

SolidGigs fits freelancers who want broader external opportunities and prefer to control pitching, contracts and payment independently. Arc fits vetted remote talent who value direct client matching, interviews, Statements of Work and platform-administered contract/payment logistics.

Best for you if… you decide first whether you want downstream independence or selective hosted matching, then compare job-specific Arc terms rather than confusing employer pricing with freelancer fees.

Do not compare Arc's employer pricing to SolidGigs as if both were freelancer fees. Arc's current public pricing is employer-facing. Its talent page instead says freelance payment is based on the talent's preferred hourly rate, while Arc's Terms say each Statement of Work sets job-specific fees.

Current models

SolidGigs

Cost: 14-day free trial, then $35/month or $350/year.

Model: broader multi-source external lead curation for discovering opportunities.

Arc

Access: hosted remote-talent platform with vetting for freelance candidates before direct recommendation to clients.

Freelance workflow: Arc describes client matching/interviews, Statements of Work and platform-handled contract/payment logistics.

Arc access is vetted, not guaranteed

Arc's current talent page says freelance candidates complete communication and domain-expertise vetting before direct recommendation to clients. It also says experts with 5+ years of industry experience and strong English communication do best in vetting. That supports selective access, not guaranteed acceptance or a universal safety/background-check promise.

Typical contract ranges are not guaranteed work

Arc currently describes freelance contracts as usually 20–40 hours per week and roughly 4 weeks to 1 year. Those are provider-described typical ranges. We do not treat them as guaranteed hours, duration, utilization or income.

Preferred hourly rate does not establish every take-home detail

Arc says freelance payment is based on the talent's preferred hourly rate. Its current Terms say each Statement of Work describes the job, start date and fees, and freelancers are paid on a time basis. Current public evidence does not establish one universal freelancer commission, take-home percentage, payout cadence or withdrawal method.

Arc handles more downstream infrastructure

Arc says it handles freelance contract and payment logistics. Current Terms also require tax information for payouts and warn that freelancers can incur separate bank or financial-institution charges. That is materially different from SolidGigs, where the downstream client relationship stays outside SolidGigs.

Off-platform rules matter

Arc's current Terms include talent non-solicit restrictions around clients introduced through Arc. We therefore do not recommend moving Arc-introduced relationships off-platform to avoid platform rules or imply that doing so preserves Arc's contract/payment protections.
