Check the live resume/profile sharing, public visibility, employer searchability and contact-information settings. Share only information you are comfortable exposing under the current controls.
Employer access is clearly contemplated, but current FlexJobs first-party legal pages conflict on whether a shared Subscriber resume/profile is hidden from the general public or may enter a public searchable database. Do not assume either visibility model without checking the live resume/profile sharing and privacy controls in your account.

AlreadyChecked Verdict
The July 18, 2026 Privacy Policy says Subscriber work profiles are hidden from the public and searchable by logged-in Employers, while current Terms describe a possible public searchable resume database with an opt-out model. Because those descriptions materially conflict, use the live visibility/sharing controls and ask FlexJobs support/privacy if the account state is unclear before sharing sensitive information.
| Visibility question | Current first-party evidence | What is clear | Best control | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Privacy Policy General-public visibility | July 18, 2026 Privacy Policy says a Subscriber work profile is completely hidden from the public and searchable by logged-in Employers. | Employer discovery is contemplated under this model. | Live resume/profile visibility and sharing settings. | Current Terms describe a materially different possible public-searchability model, so AlreadyChecked will not present the Privacy Policy wording as the only operative model. |
| Terms Public searchable database | Current Terms say FlexJobs may offer a publicly searchable database and describe shared resumes as searchable unless the user opts out. | A public-searchability possibility is expressly described in the Terms. | Live account controls plus FlexJobs support/privacy clarification when needed. | AlreadyChecked is not deciding which legal document controls a dispute or whether the described database is active for every account. |
| Application Specific employer disclosure | Privacy Policy says showing interest in a job or replying to an Employer can disclose resume-profile/application information to that Employer. | Application/reply disclosure is a separate path from general-public searchability. | Review the information being shared before applying/replying. | Disclosure to a specific Employer does not resolve the separate public-visibility conflict. |

Why this page exists: the current Privacy Policy and current Terms do not describe one consistent public-visibility model. We will not choose one and present it as certain.
The FlexJobs Privacy Policy states it was Last Updated July 18, 2026. In its section covering Subscriber work profiles, it says a profile containing a resume, cover letters and/or work samples is completely hidden from the public and that only Employers who are logged in can search the entire resume profile, including personal contact information.
The same Privacy Policy also says information disclosed while participating on the Site may be public depending on how it is posted or shared, and it provides account/settings and deletion choices.
Current Terms section 11 describes a different possibility. It says FlexJobs may offer a publicly available searchable database to which anyone can have access. It also says that when a user decides to share a resume, the user is automatically included in that database and the resume is searchable by anyone unless you actively opt-out.
The Terms separately say address, phone number and email are not shown unless the user agreed to make that information available.
The reviewed first-party documents do not let us give one reliable yes-or-no answer. The July 18, 2026 Privacy Policy says the Subscriber work profile is hidden from the public. The current Terms describe a possible public searchable resume database and an opt-out model. Those descriptions are materially different.
Because of that conflict, the safest operational step is to inspect the live resume/profile visibility, sharing, searchability and contact-information controls in your FlexJobs account before uploading or sharing sensitive information. If the live controls do not clearly resolve the visibility question for you, contact FlexJobs support or privacy before sharing information you do not want broadly accessible.
Yes, current first-party material clearly contemplates employer discovery. The Privacy Policy says logged-in Employers can search Subscriber resume profiles, while current tour copy says members can upload a resume or create a profile so they can apply to jobs and be found by employers on FlexJobs.
This does not prove that every employer will see your profile, that every employer account is the same, or that profile visibility leads to interviews or employment.
This is a separate disclosure path. The current Privacy Policy says that by showing interest in a job or replying to a message from a potential Employer, you agree to disclosure of personal information shown in your resume profile and application to that Employer.
That application/reply disclosure should not be confused with the separate unresolved question of general public resume searchability.
The Privacy Policy says you may remove your resume or delete your profile so it is no longer available on FlexJobs services. But it also says that if Employers previously accessed your profile, you may need to ask those parties to delete their copies. Removal from FlexJobs does not establish deletion from third-party systems that already received the information.
The current Terms also say cancelling a subscription does not automatically unpublish a resume and describe account deletion as a removal path for a published resume. That is another reason not to treat subscription cancellation and resume privacy as the same action.
Check the live resume/profile sharing, public visibility, employer searchability and contact-information settings. Share only information you are comfortable exposing under the current controls.
Contact FlexJobs support/privacy and ask which current resume visibility model applies to your account before sharing sensitive career or contact information.
Review current settings and removal options. Remember that copies already accessed by third parties may remain outside FlexJobs' systems.
Verdict: Current FlexJobs first-party legal pages conflict on whether a shared Subscriber resume/profile is hidden from the general public or may enter a public searchable database. Employer access is clearly contemplated. Before uploading or sharing sensitive information, verify the live visibility and sharing controls in your account; if those controls do not resolve the conflict, ask FlexJobs support/privacy for clarification.
